Dewey L. Matthews

Dewey L. Matthews of Farmington passed away on June 17, 2006 at St. Alexius Hospital at the age of 73 years. He was born on June 12, 1933, at Farmington, the son of Lynn Otis Skip Matthews and the late Mary Imogene (Staten) Matthews. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Lanier) Matthews, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his father, Lynn Otis Skip Matthews of Farmington, step-grandson, Joseph Crider of Farmington, two brothers, Bill Matthews (Etta) of Farmington, Charles Matthews (Sharron) of St. Louis, and one sister, Betty Burnett of Festus. Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2006. Visitation will resume at 7:30 a.m. at the Cozean Chapel on Friday. A funeral service will be held on Friday at the Cozean Chapel at 11 a.m. with the Dr. David Webster officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Masonic Cemetery.
