Dennis Renna

April 17, 1956 — November 6, 2023

STE. GENEVIEVE Dennis Renna, of Ste. Genevieve, entered into eternal rest on November 6, 2023, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center at the age of 67. He was born on April 17, 1956, in St. Louis, to the late Giugno "Jr." Giacoma and Joyce Ann (Murphy) Renna. Dennis spent the first part of his childhood in St. Louis, and at the age of 14, the family moved to Sprott. Dennis always worked his summers as a laborer for his uncles tree service. Upon graduation, he worked full time for the tree service then took a job remodeling houses and apartments. He then moved on to be a union carpenter. The bridges that you all have driven over in St. Louis, Dennis welded and hung underneath them to make them strong and lasting. All those skills led him to purchasing and rehabbing rental properties which he was still doing until his recent illness. Dennis was an avid race fan. He grew up with a race car driving father whose fellow race car driver friend was the father of Kenny Schrader. Dennis and Kenny grew up together driving go carts, minibikes, and everything else the fathers built for them. Dennis also enjoyed his gardening, watching the wildlife eating his garden, construction projects, fishing, and everything about the outdoors. Dennis loved with great passion. His family was the world to him. He was blessed with his granddaughter which became the center of his life. He has always had a special love for all children. Dennis was a very strong man that would carry the weight of the world on his shoulders for you. He was always there in anyones time of need to help in any way. His passing is a great loss to this world. The thought of losing him has shattered the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed by all. Dennis is survived by his wife of 39 years, Tracy (Jones) Renna, his sons, Brian Renna of Sprott and John Renna of Farmington, his granddaughter, Rileigh Renna of Farmington, his sister, Sandy (Mark) Flippin of Ste. Genevieve, his brother, Mike Renna of North Carolina, a special aunt, Alfonsina Renna of Maplewood, many special cousins, his in laws, Dallas and Bonnie Brown of Farmington, Mike and Joie Barton of Park Hills, Bryan and Paula Chilton of Lesterville, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina Lea Renna, his grandparents, John and Carolina Renna, William and Sadie Murphy, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews.
