Delores "Lori" Ann Nelson

Delores "Lori" Ann Nelson of Doe Run passed from this life on July 5, 2014 at the age of 81. She was born July 3, 1933 in Utica, Wisconsin to the late Marvin and Adeline (Halverson) Weum. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by very special grandparents, Tom and Tilla Halverson, of Stoughton, Wisconsin, a half sister, Virginia Dees and a half-brother, Clarence Johnson, both of Stoughton, Wisconsin. Lori was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Farmington. She was active in Lutheran Women's Missionary League and other church activities. She liked to sew and enjoyed her flower gardens. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by a host of loving family members and friends. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Donald Aaron Nelson; four sons, Vincent Nelson of Farmington; Thomas Nelson, Ronald Nelson and Anthony Nelson, all of Doe Run; a sister, Marion Weum (Otto) Rusch of Janesville, Wisconsin; five half-sisters, Arlene (Richard) Lehr, Florence (Paul) Hefty, Carol (Steve) French, Mary Jo Johnson (Donald Harried) all of Wisconsin, and Julie Haines of Pennsylvania; two half-brothers, Roger (Judy) Johnson and Paul (Gladys) Johnson of Wisconsin; seven grandchildren, Christopher Nelson, Melanie Nelson (Andy) Gordon, Joseph Nelson, Stanley (Becky) Nelson, Delores Nelson, Savanah Nelson and Sarah Nelson; and four great grandchildren. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 8, at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday morning at St. Paul Lutheran Church beginning at 9 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor James King officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to Lutheran Women's Missionary League or to the St. Paul Lutheran Organ Fund.
