Delma Jean Holliday, formerly of Farmington, left this world to fly high with the angels on January 12, 2011, at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 26 days. She was born August 17, 1924, at Esther, Missouri, to the late Clarence Jefferson and Lola Ethel (Lincoln) Tucker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wm. Holliday in 1989; 3 brothers, 6 sisters, a daughter-in-law, Nancy L. Holliday and a son-in-law, James E. Triplett, Sr. Delma and Frank were married on January 13, 1944 in Potosi, Missouri and they made their home in Farmington until Mr. Holliday passed away. She was retired from the Farmington State Hospital #4 in 1974 where she was employed for 25 years as a Psychiatric Aide II. Survivors include her two daughters, Gloria Jean (Mrs. Donny) Parker and Judy Lynn Triplett, both of Kissee Mills; two sons, William Talmadge Holliday of Belleview, MO and Gerald Doc Holliday and his wife Glenda of Farmington; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 9 am to 12:30 pm on Monday, January 17. Funeral services will follow on Monday afternoon at 2 pm in the funeral home with the Reverend Randy Sawyer officiating. Interment will be in Hillview Memorial Gardens.
