Deborah "Debbie" Ann Crawford, passed away on February 18, 2025, at her home in Doe Run, Missouri, at the age of 70. Born on April 5, 1954, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to Glen Cecil and Wildean (Cook) King.
Debbie enjoyed a fulfilling career as a registered nurse for the Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center, where she dedicated 23 years of her life to caring for others. Her compassion and commitment to her patients were hallmarks of her nursing career. Debbie always took the time to make birthday cakes that were cherished by her fellow employees, a testament to her loving nature
Outside of her professional life, Debbie was passionate about various hobbies that filled her life with creativity and warmth. Known for her skills in quilting, sewing, cooking, and gardening, she found happiness in the simple pleasures of the outdoors and nature. She cherished spending time fishing and camping, and her love for her family extended to hosting dinners for friends and relatives. Debbie was a faithful Christian and was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Farmington.
Debbie is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Bob Crawford; her children, Bobby (Brenda Tanton) Crawford Jr. and April (Peter) Knize; and her grandchildren, Braden Brown, Alexis Jeffries, Ethan Knize, and Liam Knize. Additionally, she is the proud great-grandmother of Jetson Jeffries. She is also survived by her siblings, Sandra Trent, Charlotte (Donald) Upshaw, Glenda (Roy) Causbie, Joseph King, and Mary Annette King, as well as her sister-in-law, Judy King, and brother-in-law, Alan Emmons. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen Cecil and Wildean (Cook) King; her brother, Steven Alan King; her sister, Donna King Emmons; and her brother-in-law, Lonnie Trent.
Debbie will be remembered not only for her professional accomplishments but also for the immeasurable love she shared with her family and friends. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
In celebration of Debbie's life, visitation services will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel and Crematory in Farmington, Missouri. The first visitation will be on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a second visitation on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, leading into a funeral service that will take place on March 1, 2025, at 3:00 PM officated by Pastor Roger Hogan and Pastor William Lynn Sansoucie.
