FARMINGTON Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend Dawn Elaine Polacek, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 16, 2021, at her home after a 9 month battle against Glioblastoma brain cancer. Dawn was born in Elgin, Illinois on January 10, 1965, to Deborah (Kollwelter) Hayes of Wappapello, MO and the late Kurt Kasules. She lived in Elgin, South Elgin, and Sycamore, Illinois and then moved to Farmington in 2005. She was employed at Flooring Systems, Inc. for the past 12 years where she built a fulfilling career with a strong work ethic that was important to her. She was able to expand on her creative talents for design and decorating to enhance the lives of those she served. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her husband, Dan Polacek, her high school sweetheart, whom she married in 1983. Together they had two children, Bryanne Morsch (Tony) and Braden Polacek (Paige). Her two beautiful granddaughters, Vivian Morsch and Cambrie Dawn Polacek were the most important part of her life who she always enjoyed spending time with. She used her loving spirit to help build a beautiful family. Dawn enjoyed vacations and making memories at a warm sunny beach with her family. In addition to her husband, her children, her grandchildren and her mother, Dawn is survived by two stepbrothers, Matthew Hayes and Steve Hayes and her mother-in-law, Ellie Polacek of Farmington. She was preceded in death by her father, her stepfather, Bobby Hayes and her father-in-law, Donald Polacek. A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
