David Sanford Porter

IRONTON David Sanford Porter, of Ironton, entered eternal rest on February 13, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson at the age of 59. He was born on July 18, 1964, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to George Sanford and Rita Marie (Phelps) Porter. David is survived by his soulmate of 23 years, Kristine Bridges of Ironton, along with her children, Sandra Bridges, Rusty Bridges, Richard Bridges, and Tony Russell, grandchildren, Donivyn, Hope, Faith, Lakota, Landon, Ciara, Kyra, and Rusty Jr., brother-in-law, Steven Winters, sister-in-law, Cindy (Rick) Durrant, along with six dogs and a cat. David was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle, Larry Porter. David formerly worked as an embalmer for funeral homes in California. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Davids final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. A private burial will take place at Genevieve Baptist Cemetery.
