David Lee Lerche

David Lee Lerche of Farmington passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at the age of 49. He was born on February 23, 1963, at Bonne Terre, MO, son of Otto David and Grace Maxine (Allgier) Lerche, who survive. David was currently the proprietor of Lerche Firestone Dealership in Farmington. David had worked in the family's business along side his father since childhood and began working full time in the business upon his graduation from high school in 1982. His greatest joy was to serve his customers in a friendly manner and he took great pride in the fact that he provided a high level of satisfaction with the latest technology and equipment available. Any free time David could spare he spent camping and fishing with his family. In addition to his parents, Otto and Grace, David is survived by the love of his life, Edna Russell of Farmington; sister, Donna Gallagher and husband, Dr. Brian Gallagher, of Farmington; brother, Fred Lerche and wife, Anne of Springfield; one niece, Paige Gallagher; three nephews, Brian Christopher and Brendan Gallagher and Evan Lerche. He will be greatly missed by Edna's grandchildren, Jersey, Austin, Dominic and Eli. Also surviving are a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Thursday, September 6 from 5 to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday morning at 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Scott Hall officiating.
