David Dale Deason

FARMINGTON - David Dale Deason, of Farmington passed away September 16, 2018 at his home surrounded by family at the age of 74. He was born in St. Louis on April 10, 1944 to the late David A. Deason and Ona M. (Brown) Dixon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Willis. David proudly served his country as career military in the U. S. Army for 37 years. For 28 of those years he was stationed in Germany. He served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded five bronze stars. In 2000 David retired as a Chief Warrant Officer. After retirement David and his wife moved to Farmington where he enjoyed living in the country. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor which he had up until his last days. A dedicated family man, he loved his family and will always be remembered by all of his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his brand new great great granddaughter as their beloved "Opa". Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Anita Eda (Deppe) Deason; two daughters, Sabine von Thun of Farmington and Susanne Fuhrmann of Germany; grandchildren, Lennert Fuhrmann, Jonna Fuhrmann, both of Germany, Jacqueline Howard of Farmington, Jessica Merendo of Amsterdam, New York; great grandchildren, Austin Aubuchon, Summer Howard, Andrew Kennedy, Kaydence Cortez, all of Farmington and Jaylin Capron of Amsterdam, New York; great great granddaughter, Cora Aubuchon; a brother, Bill (Carol) Deason; a sister, Peggy Cook both of Farmington; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Also surviving are David's beloved pets, Maggie, Kaine, Dusty and Dirty. There will be a private celebration of life at a later date. Share your memories and condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
