Darrell Lee Allen Sr.

Darrell Lee Allen Sr. of Farmington passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Parkland Health Center, at the age of 70 years. He was born on August 30, 1940, in Hamilton, OH, son of the late Jones Lee and Viola Mae (Hale) Allen. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Constance D. (VanArsdale) Allen, a son, Michael Allen, two grandsons, Joseph Hanks and Donald Thomure and a brother, Jesse Allen. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Marine Corps in the Vietnam War. Before retirement, he worked as a truck driver. He is survived by a son, Darrell Lee Allen Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK, four daughters, Kimberly Riley of Altus, OK, Katherine Gallaher (Jonathan) of Desloge, Tech Sgt. Kristina Hanks, USAF, stationed in Afghanistan, and Karen Thomure of Rose Hill, KS, a brother, two sisters, thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral arrangements are pending at this time. Memorials may be directed to the family.
