Darrell Gene Moore Darrell Gene Moore of Farmington passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the age of 64 years, 11 months, and 30 days. He was born on April 26, 1948, at St. Louis, son of the late Alonzo O''Neal Moore and Charlotte Marquerite (Bingham) Cummings. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Don Moore; two sisters, Janet Eaton and Sandra Bishop; and a step sister, Blanche Moore. Darrell grew up and attended school in Farmington. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge from the Army he met and married the love of his life, Mary Flieg. They moved to Fort Worth, TX in 1970 and lived there until 1986 when they moved back to Farmington. He made his living as a truck driver and worked for Shaw Industries where he retired from several years ago. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and rebuilding cars. Having a great sense of humor and a quick wit, Darrell will be remembered by many as one of the "coffee drinking group" at Steak n Shake. Survivors in addition to his wife, Mary, are his children, Lester Flieg and wife, Jenny; Lisa (Mrs. Steve) Brassfield; and Richard Moore and wife, Angie; eight grandchildren, Scott, Megan, Levi, Emily, Makayla, Isaac, Coleton and Logan; two great-grandchildren, Addie and Kaidyn; two brothers, James Moore and Randy Brown; step-brothers and sisters, Charles Cummings, Guy Cummings, Betty Reis, Charlene Badgley, Charlotte Gibbon, Sue Robins and Alice Wright; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Sunday, April 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Valle Spring Catholic Cemetery in Ste.
