Daniel Rector, Sr.

FARMINGTON Daniel Roger Rector Sr. of Farmington, entered eternal rest on February 13, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 69. He was born on May 20, 1954, in St. Francois County, Missouri, to Thomas and Helen (Howell) Rector. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sherry (Henson) Rector, his children, Cindy (Richard) Deason of Farmington, Daniel (Francesca) Rector Jr. of Farmington, Rebecca (Kyle) Deason of Farmington, Melissa (Bobby) Pearl of Bee Branch, AR, and Amy (Nathaniel) Terrill of Farmington, his grandchildren, Alexia (Sam) Malm, Tyler Deason, Caleb Deason, Adam Pearl, Joshua Deason, and Jackson Pearl, his siblings, Marilyn (Bruce) Rogers of Licking, Tom (Charleda) Rector of Bucyrus, Janet (Mike) Nicholson of Farmington, and Doug (Katherine) Pursifull of Raymondsville, his stepfather, Gene Pursifull of Raymondsville, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Rector, his mother, Helen (Howell) Pursifull, his brother, Bob Rector, his nephew, David Hahn, and his great nephew, Zach Hahn. Daniel worked for Flat River Glass for 35 years. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses of Farmington for 46 years. He enjoyed riding his tractor, woodworking, hiking, going for drives, reading, but mostly loved spending time with his family. Daniel was a hard worker throughout his life; he was very caring and had a warm, kind heart. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 1818 Highway D, Farmington.
