Daniel Burgess Stewart

FARMINGTON Daniel Burgess Stewart, 68, of Farmington, passed away April 29, 2022, at Fountainbleau Nursing Center in Festus. Dan was born December 31, 1953, in Bonne Terre. He was the son of the late Jess and Marie Stewart of Farmington. Dan graduated from Farmington High School in 1972. He was a life-long sports fan especially enjoying baseball and rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals. Well-loved by his extended family, Dan liked large family gatherings where he enjoyed talking sports with his many nephews and others. Dan is survived by five siblings: Bill (Pat) Stewart and Beth Herreid of Kirkwood, MO, Jo Ellen (Gerald) Schrader of Cape Girardeau, MO, Jeanne (Larry) Daniels of Crestwood, MO, and Carol Crites of Farmington, MO, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, David, who perished along with their father in a fire that destroyed their Farmington Home in 1967. He was also preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Eugene Crites, and David Herreid. Memorial visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2022, from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm at Cozean Memorial Chapel in Farmington. Inurnment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
