Dale Owen Sandlin

FARMINGTON Dale Owen Sandlin, of Farmington, passed away September 19, 2016 at his residence at the age of 74. He was born September 9, 1942 in Crosstown, Missouri to the late Chalmer Ira and Stella Irene (Farrar) Sandlin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Chalmer Sandlin, Jr.

Dale worked for most of his adult life as a salesman and in later life after his retirement was the owner and operator of Dawn's Carriage Rides for a number of years. He provided carriage rides for weddings and other holiday events. He enjoyed going to football games and the tailgating beforehand and he also enjoyed traveling. Dale was a very outgoing person who never met a stranger.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Patricia Ann (Weatherington) Sandlin; his children, Rocky Dale Owen Sandlin, Jr. and Candy (Sheldon) Husk ; three grandchildren, Kayla Sandlin, Taylor Husk and Macey Husk, all of Farmington.

Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 5 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday morning at Crossroads First Church of God, 8154 Old Jackson Rd., Farmington. Interment will follow at Libertyville Christian Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Crossroads First Church of God.
