Dale's photo by Paige Frank FARMINGTON - Dale Engelhardt, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on January 26, 2022, at his residence at the age of 72. He was born in West Point, Nebraska on May 29, 1949 to the late Gus and Helen (Tingelhoff) Engelhardt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Maxine Engelhardt. Dale attended school and graduated from high school in West Point, Nebraska. He went on to serve his country in the United States Army as a medic during the Vietnam era. He followed in his father's footsteps in the family profession of masonry. He worked his adult life as a brick layer and was a member of the Brick Layer Union Local 1. In 1986 he moved to Farmington where he worked on the Farmington Corrections Center. After his retirement in 2008 he enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and just being in the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his buddies at the VFW who called him "Nebraska". Survivors include his three children, Nora (Matt) Maddeaux of Linn, Missouri, Anna (Chris) Petz of Centennial, Colorado and Shane (Nichole) Engelhardt of Linn, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Aspen Brune, Zander Brune, Logan Maddeaux, Ashley Maddeaux, Paige Frank, Miah Frank, Autumn Petz, Grant Petz, Landon Engelhardt and Zane Lee Engelhardt; two brothers, Robert Engelhardt, of Iowa and Ronald (Marie) Engelhardt of Nebraska.
