Connie Beauchamp

Connie Jean Watkins Beauchamp passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013, at the age of 75. She was born on October 10, 1937, in Ste. Genevieve County, daughter of the late Charles Harrison and Glenna Savanah (Bloom) Miller. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bobby Gene Watkins in 2002; her son, Bradley Dale Watkins and two siblings, Georgia Adams and Dale Miller. Connie was born near Clearwater, Missouri and attended school in Ste. Genevieve. After graduation, Connie married the love of her life, Bobby Gene Watkins. They made their home in Coffman where they raised their children. Connie was a charter member until the time of her passing at the Coffman Baptist Church where she held many positions and was faithfully devoted to her church throughout her life. She was employed for many years as a secretary at the Farmington State Hospital and finished her career at the Mississippi Lime Company. Strolling on the farm and taking in nature was a favorite pastime of hers. Connie's favorite hobby was finding a treasure at a garage sale. Survivors include her beloved children, Michael Kevin Watkins and Karen Michelle Sanders; two grandchildren, Brandon Caleb Elders and Bobby Gene Watkins and wife, Trisha Lynn; one very special great-granddaughter, Emma June Watkins; three brothers, Gary Wayne Miller, Allen Ray Miller and Richard Paul Miller; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Also surviving is Roger Beauchamp and family who were a part of her life, as well. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Monday, April 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. until the time of the funeral service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Farmington.
