Clyde Koester

December 7, 1916 — March 2, 2010

Clyde Koester, formerly of Farmington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Union County Hospital in Anna, IL, at the age of 93 years. He was born on December 7, 1916, at Koester Springs, MO, to the late Carl Gustave Koester and Ida Pearl Henroid. To the end, Clyde remained cheerful and uncomplaining. He is survived by son, Charles Koester of Anna, IL, daughter, Julie Koester of Anna, IL, step-son, Steven Govreau of Doe Run, and step-daughter Kathy Sullivan of Fredericktown. Clyde is also loved and remembered by his two sisters, Bernice Wright and Golda Moon, twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. Numerous other relatives and friends remain to celebrate and honor his life. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010. Visitation will resume at 7 a.m. on Saturday. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Farmington.
