Clyde Everett Lacey

FARMINGTON - Clyde Everett "Sonny" Lacey of Farmington passed away on January 3, 2006 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center at the age of 67 years. He was born on December 12, 1938, in St. Francois County, to the late Stanley and Edith (Howell) Lacey. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Howard Lacey. Clyde was a member of the Farmington First Baptist Church. He retired from Local 513 Operators Union after 38 years of service. Clyde enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed witnessing to everyone about the Lord. He is survived by one son, Larry Lacey, Farmington, one daughter, Roberta Abney and husband Mike, Davisville, MO, two grandchildren, Derrick Lacey, Farmington, Michael Abney Jr. and wife Mandi, Belgrade, one brother, Bob Lacey and wife Patsy, Bismarck, two sisters, Margaret Harter and husband Francis, Farmington, Shirley Smith and husband Dale, Farmington, one sister-in-law, Leslie Lacey, Scott City, MO, special uncles, Rev. Jay Lacey and Bob Lacey, and special aunts, Imogene Martin, Maude Barnhouse and Shirley Starnes. Numerous nephews, nieces, and a host of friends also survive, along with his good fishing buddy, Doyle. Friends may call from at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2006. Visitation will be from 7:30am until 12 p.m. on Friday at the Cozean Chapel. A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, at the Farmington First Baptist Church with Dr. William Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.
