Chirley Rosalee Miller of Farmington passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at the age of 84. She was born on August 13, 1929, in Farmington, daughter of the late Herbert and Cecelia (Giessing) Schramm. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Orville "Blue" Miller in 2010; one daughter, Debra Lunsford; and a brother Charles Schramm. Chirley enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making big family meals, baking, gardening and watching Wheel of Fortune. She often loved to reminisce and share stories of her childhood. She will be remembered most for her welcoming smile, kind words, and will be forever known for having the biggest heart of anyone you would ever come across. Survivors include her children, David (Angie) Miller, Ted (Belinda) Miller, Herbert (Kate) Miller, and Cheryl Ann Traber; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by two sisters, Elaine Perkins and Mary (Jerry) Pogue, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Also surviving is her good friend and caregiver, Cynthia Shick. There will be a memorial service on Thursday, September 12 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Farmington. Interment will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Farmington. There will be a dinner to follow at Chirley's home immediately following the services. Everyone is invited to attend. The family has requested memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
