Charley Wilkerson

FARMINGTON Charley G. Wilkerson, of Farmington, passed away at his home on May 20, 2017 at the age of 65. He was born in Bonne Terre on May 27, 1951 to the late Paul Wilkerson and Lula (Cartee) Wilkerson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Don Wilkerson, a sister, Ruby Cook and his longtime companion, Babette Wilkerson.

Charley grew up in Doe Run where he graduated from High School in 1969. He was an avid racer who enjoyed racing at St. Francois County Raceway for years. He drove for a local beer distributer for a number of years and also worked for Huffman Security in Arnold. Charley will be remembered for being a very positive, upbeat guy who was well liked. He was a generous person with a big heart who went out of his way to help others.

Survivors include three children, Steven Wilkerson of Bismarck, Heather Wilkerson of Barnhart and Charlie Wilkerson of Farmington; four grandchildren, Tanner, Riley, Colby and Molly; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Friends and family may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, May 22 from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Tuesday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service beginning at 10 a.m. with Reverend Scott Hall officiating.
