Charles James Grieshaber of Mountain Home, AR, passed away on May 23, 2006 at his residence at the age of 84 years. He was born on September 9, 1921, at Weingarten, the son of the late George and Ada Wallen Grieshaber. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Mr. Grieshaber joined the U.S. Army in 1946 and served as an automotive mechanic in Japan during World War II. He married Berdina Meksch September 16, 1949, at Ogden, UT. He worked as a structural ironworker through Ironworker Union 1 of Chicago and was a union member for 50 plus years. He was a 50 year member of the McKinley Masonic Lodge in Merrilville, IN, and The Scottish Rites. He was a member of Orok Shrine and Hobart Indiana Order of Eastern Star 314. He was past president of East Gary Scottish Rites Club and vice president of Hobart Shrine Club. He was a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Berdina Grieshaber of Mountain Home, AR, two sons, Dr. Larry (Marilyn) Grieshaber of St. Louis and Dr. Terry Grieshaber of Kirklin, IN and two grandchildren, Calvin and Emily Grieshaber. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington with Dr. William Miller officiating. A Masonic Service will also be held at the cemetery.
