FARMINGTON - Charles Eugene "Chuck" Raybern , age 74, of Farmington, passed away, Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at his home. He was born January 6, 1939 at Atchison, Kansas, son of the late James Claudius and Lillie Mae (Bryan) Raybern. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Jr., Clyde and Gerald Raybern and five sisters, Lorene Martin, Elsie Bunney, Veda Riesgo, Virginia Byers, and Sharon Raybern. Chuck proudly served his country overseas in the Army. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of AF & AM Masonic Lodge # 598 of Leadwood, MO. He was an over-the-road truck driver for a total of 33 years. For many years he and Lillie operated and managed motels in Mobile, AL, Dubuque, IA and Kansas City, MO, before retiring to Farmington, MO. Share your memories and leave online condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lillie Mae (Gowen) Raybern of Farmington, MO, son Gene Seagle and wife Helen of Denver, CO, two grandchildren, Liam and Libby Seagle, step-daughter Crystal Wilk of Kansas City KS, four sisters, Geraldine (Mrs. Jerry) Thomas of Lawrence, KS, Susan (Mrs. Sam) Crawford of Eudora, KS, Cathy (Mrs. Fred) Goetler of Rockton, IL, and Donna (Mrs. Darwin) Yunk of Corpus Christi, TX. Many other relatives, friends, and neighbors also survive. Friends may call on from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory with Masonic Rites at 7p.m. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence, KS.
