Charles "Charlie" Earl Archambo of Farmington passed away on Friday, July 1, 2011, at Parkland Health Center, at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 16 days. He was born on December 15, 1934, at French Village, MO, son of the late William Clyde and Irene Cecelia (Aubuchon) Archambo. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Archambo and two sisters, Anna Mae (Archambo) Frazier and Bernice Edna (Archambo) Greer. Charlie grew up in the French Village area and began working at a young age. In 1954 he married the love of his life, Betty Davis at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church. Soon after their marriage they moved to St. Louis for three years before moving back to St. Francois County. Charlie worked at Hussmann Refrigeration where he retired after 43 years of service. He loved his church and God and was a faithful member of Parkview Freewill Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing, traveling and playing games. His very favorite pastime was spending quality time with his family and helping them with anything they needed help with. His family was the light of his life. Survivors in addition to his wife Betty are his four children, Charles W. F. Archambo and wife Sherilynn of Vanzant, MO, Doris Jean (Mrs. Steven) Muse of Doniphan, MO, Vicki Pearl (Mrs. Robert) Hannah of Park Hills, and Marc William Archambo and wife Tammy of Ste. Genevieve; thirteen grandchildren, Jason and Justin Archambo, Joshua Kemp, Ashley and Andrea Archambo, Chelsi Kemp, Travis and wife Becki and Bo Muse, Bobby and Katie Hannah, Bryce Archambo, Talisha (Mrs. Aaron) Brooks and Amber Archambo; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Austin, Allison, Dustin, Colton, Gavin and Grace; six sisters, Wilma Pinkley, and Margaret Thomas, both of Farmington, Rosaline Flynn of Festus, Sharon (Mrs. Dale) Cole of Bismarck, Karen Wisdom of the State of Kentucky and Elaine (Mrs. Donald) Maurice of Park Hills. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and many other loved ones. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 7 a.m. until the service beginning at 11 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with the Reverend Ken Dodson and the Reverend Ken Goff officiating.
