Chad Galster

BONNE TERRE - Chad Edward Galster of rural Bonne Terre passed away Friday, May 1, 2015 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident at the age of 25 years. He was born April 8, 1990 at Farmington the son of Kimberly Denise Wheelehan and the late Paul Richardson Galster. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Donald Galster and his cousin Matthew Bridgeman. Chad was a 2008 graduate of Central High School. He proudly and honorably served his country in the US Navy during the War on Global Terrorism, serving four years on the USS George H.W. Bush. He was a member of the Boilermakers Union #27 St. Louis and employed as a welder with Lee Mechanical Contractors in Park Hills. Chad truly enjoyed his profession and took great pride in his work. He also enjoyed riding dirt bikes, his Harley, Country Music, and spending time with his buddies, but most of all he was a family man and a great husband, father son and brother. Chad loved life and lived it to the fullest. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him including his wife Tiffany Ann (Harness) Galster of Bonne Terre, son Christian Edward Galster of the home, niece Hayleigh Harness of the home, mother Kimberly D. Wheelehan of Park Hills, Step-father Timothy J. Glaze, brother Joshua Galster of Park Hills, two sisters Tiffany Galster of Bonne Terre and Ambrea Galster of Cadet, maternal Grandmother Mary Sparks of Iron Mountain, maternal Grandfather Bill Wheelehan of Park Hills, paternal grandmother Margie Rolling of Cadet, and maternal great-grand-mother Bernice Sparks of Farmington. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Debbie Harness of Bonne Terre, father-in-law Kenny Harness of Valles Mines and numerous other relatives, dear friends, and neighbors. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Wednesday May 6, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Cozean Chapel followed by full military honors at the funeral home. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be made to the benefit of his wife and son.
