FARMINGTON - Carolyn L. Stafford (née Kaczerowski), 81, of Farmington formerly of Bloomsdale, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, and a cherished and devoted member of her community, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on March 7, 2025. She was born on June 12, 1943, in St. Louis, MO. Carolyn lived a life full of love, compassion, and dedication to her family and friends. Carolyn was the cherished daughter of Leo Kaczerowski, her stepmother, Mary (née Andert), and her mother, Isabel (née April) Kaczerowski, who instilled in her the values of hard work, kindness, and resilience. She grew up in St. Louis, where she attended Mehlville High School and later graduated.

In 1965, Carolyn married the love of her life, Rex R. Stafford, Sr, with whom she shared 45 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they raised 5 wonderful children, James M. and Jamie L. Stafford of Bonne Terre, David R. and Kimberly S. Stafford of Wesley Chapel, FL, Matthew W. and Tianna M. Stafford of DeSoto, Richard L. Stafford of Hannibal, Bradley W. and Angel M. Stafford of Ste. Genevieve, and loving stepmother to Rex R Stafford, Jr, and Darla Williams of Bloomsdale, Steven D. and Tonya L. Stafford of Bloomsdale, Michelle L. Stafford of Ste. Genevieve, who were the pride and joy of her life. Carolyn was a nurturing and loving mother and grandmother, always putting her family's needs before her own and ensuring that her home was filled with warmth and affection.

Carolyn had a fulfilling career at Ste. Genevieve Winery as a manager for 10 years and really enjoyed her working with management and her customers. Some of the other jobs she held were South County Librarian, Scruggs, Vandervoort & Barney, Stix, Baer & Fuller and Famous Barr where she used her artistic ability to paint windows for Christmas. She was known for her generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Carolyn had a zest for life and a wide array of interests. She was an avid cook, gardener, and reader, and she enjoyed spending her free time making food for anybody and everybody. Carolyn also had a passion for painting, which she pursued with enthusiasm and dedication.

Carolyn's legacy is one of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. She will be remembered for her bright smile, her contagious laughter, and her ability to make everyone around her feel valued and cherished. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Carolyn is survived by her beloved children, 26 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband Rex R. Stafford, Sr; her grandsons, Hank Williams and Zak L. Stafford; her parents, Leo and Isabel Kaczerowski; her stepmother, Mary Andert; her brothers, Richard, Thomas and Edward; and her sisters, Nancy and Judy.

Per Carolyn’s request, no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carolyn's memory to Dementia Society of America and National Heart Association, causes that were dear to her heart. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit, love, and kindness will continue to inspire and guide those she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace.
