Carolyn Klein

Carolyn Ann Klein, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away May 10, 2016 in Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 74. She was born February 1, 1942 in St. Louis to the late Winfred and Leola Barnes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Klein in 1972; a brother, Winfred Barnes and a sister, Donna Whitworth.

Carolyn lived most of her life in the St. Louis area except for a short while when she lived in Granite City, IL. She worked for many years in the shoe manufacturing industry from where she retired in 1998. She was known to be a spunky, hard working, opinionated person who always brought a smile to everyone's face. She loved to go camping, traveling to Branson and watching mystery shows. Carolyn was a wonderful and dedicated mother, grandmother, and great "granny".

Survivors include her four daughters, Donna (Mark) Burgess, Winnie (Tony) Holt, Charlene (Robert) Hart and Mildred (Chris) Ellis; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; five sisters, Bonnie Hutchings, Veronica Mann, Linda Bell, Pam Wyatt and Dana Cartwright; one brother, Richard Barnes; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 5 8 p.m. and will resume Saturday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel.
