Carolyn Eloise Beers

Carolyn Eloise Beers, of Farmington graduated from this life on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the age of 67 years. She was born on November 11, 1946, at Bunker, MO, daughter of the late Eddie Jackson and Goldie Maleta (Camden) Wilkins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Winford Wilkins. Carolyn grew up in Bunker and graduated from high school in 1964. That same year she married the love of her life, Carl Beers and they made their home in Maplewood. Soon after that they moved to Mapaville where they lived for five years before living in the Hillsboro/Festus area for quite some time. Upon Carl's retirement they moved to Farmington where they enjoyed traveling, camping and trout fishing. Carolyn was the ultimate homemaker who was a very accomplished cook. She enjoyed attending church and was a long time member of Calvary Assembly of God in Festus and more recently a member of Radiant Life Church in Festus. One of the highlights of her life was a Holy Land tour to Israel. In addition to her husband of fifty years, Carl, she is survived by her children Miracle Marie Beers of Farmington and Benjamin James Beers and wife, Angela Marie, of White House, TN; five grandchildren, Alexandria McKinnon, Tyler McKinnon, Nathan Beers, Logan Beers and Hayden Beers; three sisters, Audrey (Gilbert)Street of Mapa Acres, Dormalee Stevens of Ava, MO and Betty (Charles) Foresyth of Farmington; three brothers, Louie Norman Wilkins of East Prairie, MO, Gilva (Virginia) Wilkins of Lebanon, MO and Gilbert Wilkins of Farmington; numerous nieces, nephews and good friends. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, January 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Reverend Randy Gray officiating. Interment will be at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington. Memorials may be made to the Radiant Life Church Building Fund.
