Carolyn Cowley

DOE RUN Carolyn Sue Cowley of Doe Run passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 9, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on July 11, 1951 in St. Louis, daughter of the late Charles James and Flora Marie (Quinton) Brackett. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Christine Harrison, Betty Hart, and Wilma Crump.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years Thomas E. Cowley, Sr., daughter Paula (& Joey) Crawford, two sons Thomas E. (&Michelle) Cowley, Jr., and Sammy (& Candace) Cowley; eleven brothers and sisters Juneann (& Murray) Parker of Alabama, Janean Hynes of Alabama, Rhonda Brackett of Alabama, Bobby (& Cindy) Brackett of Arkansas, Jimmy Brackett of Florida, Billy Brackett of Doe Run, Ricky (& Cindy) Snider of Alabama, Sharon Brackett of Doe Run, Terry (& Bob) Johnson of Alabama and Brenda (& John) Fuller of Alabama; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous other relatives, dear friends and neighbors.

The family will hold a memorial gathering from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the funeral home to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
