Carol Thurman

FARMINGTON Carol Jane Thurman of Farmington, passed away December 6, 2016 at Camelot Nursing and Rehab at the age of 70. She was born January 26, 1946 on the family farm in Weingarten, Missouri.

Carol was a 1964 graduate of Farmington High School. She worked for Missouri Natural Gas Company for 37 years where she retired as Manager of Employee Benefits in 2001. She loved racing and was an avid NASCAR fan. She especially enjoyed traveling to watch Bryan and Austin race. Carol also enjoyed cross stitching, reading and her pets, including the critters in her yard. She sorely missed her beloved "Peewee" and "Racer".

Survivors include her mother, Doris (Kocher) Thomas of Farmington; two sisters, Donna Thomas of Farmington, Mary (Doug) Harris of Tulsa, OK ; a brother, Terry (Cheryl) Thomas of St. Louis; three nieces, Kim (Greg) Stewart, Leah (Zach) Thomas Blickhan and Brianna Harris; two nephews, Maxwell Harris and Dillon Thomas; great niece and nephew, Lauren Stewart and Austin Stewart.

Friends and family may call on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 8 p.m. Visitation will resume at 1 p.m. on Sunday in the Cozean Chapel with the funeral to be held at 2 p.m. with Brad Kocher officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center.
