Carleen Mcdermott

Carleen C. McDermott of Farmington passed away Thursday, January 20, 2017 at the age of 71 years. She was born on December 10, 1945 at Bonne Terre daughter of the late George Carlos and Aleen Naomi (St. Gemme) Silvey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry McDermott, a brother Richard Silvey and a sister-in-law Suzanne Parent.

Carleen was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington. Along with her late husband Jerry, she owned and operated Plaza Pool and Spa of Farmington for over forty years.

She is survived by her son, Doug McDermott of Farmington, two step-children, Cynthia Wiles and Skip McDermott and their families of Sullivan, a brother Steve (& Nancy) Silvey of Cumming, GA., and numerous other relatives, dear friends, and neighbors.

Carleen's family will receive friends at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 5 - 8 p.m. with Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington with Fr. Rickey Valleroy officiating. Interment will follow at the New Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the New Calvary Cemetery Fund.
