Bucky J. C. Jones

Bucky J. C. Jones of Bonne Terre passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011, at the age of 70 years. He was born on June 1, 1941, at Malden, MO, son of the late Harvey Ellis and Wanda Marie (Head) Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant brothers. Bucky grew up in the Gray Ridge area where he attended school. After he completed high school he joined the U. S. Air Force. He proudly served his country for 21 years and retired in 1981. After retirement from the military he went to work for McDonnell Douglas Corporation where he retired in 1996. In his retirement, he enjoyed relaxing with a good Western. Bucky is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lois L. (Frala) Jones, a daughter, Heather Hum, sons, Gordon Jones, Gary Jones, Scott Foreman and Travis Wood; seven grandchildren, Steven, Richard, McKayla, Rachael, Samuel, Nathan and Isla; four sisters, Nancy Laubach, Barbara Bothe, Linda Glover and Tona Gravett and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 7. A graveside service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans' Cemetery at Bloomfield.
