DOE RUN Bruce Loyd, of Doe Run, passed away January 3, 2018 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing and Rehab at the age of 75. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on May 28, 1942 to the late Taylor Brewster Loyd and Mamie Louise (Wammack) Loyd.
Bruce served his country in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963, stationed in Germany. Throughout his life he was mostly self employed in crafting and designing jewelry. He also enjoyed working as a cook in several restaurants. Bruce loved to sing and as a hobby made several CDs which he gave to friends.
Survivors include a son, Terry Lambert of the state of Mississippi; a sister, Ann (Henry) Pannuto; a brother, James Loyd; Bruces significant other, Caroline Breneiser; and his good buddy, who was like a son to him, Jacob Gadberry.
Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, January 9, beginning at 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel.
