Brenda Lee Heaps

Brenda Lee Heaps of Farmington, MO peacefully passed away on July 30, 2022 at the age of 61. She was born in St. Louis on September 22, 1960 to the late Franklin George Hosick and Mary Frances (Hauck) Hosick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer "Darrell" Heaps in 2019; a daughter, Mindy Michelle Heaps; a brother, Christopher Hosick; a step-son, Gary Heaps; a grandson, Michael Heaps; and a nephew, Jasen Hosick. Brenda grew up in St. Louis until the family moved to Bismarck just before her senior year in high school. Brenda had a passion for helping others, and that was obvious with her studies in the medical field. Her career in healthcare as a medical assistant proved to be a good fit for Brenda as she was such an outgoing person who loved helping others. Through the years she worked at nursing homes, St. Louis University and for physician clinics. In her spare time, she loved to play Bingo and shop. Her family will lovingly remember her generosity, her sense of humor, her ability to be very strong willed (but in the best way) and her tremendous pride in her family. Survivors include her beloved son, Luke (Angie) Heaps; her siblings, Bonnie Sandoval, Franklin Hosick, Jr., Rebecca Santoyo and Damon Hosick; step children, Donna (Ray) Hutchings, Linda (John) Resinger, Doug (Roxanne) Heaps and Kevin (Karen) Heaps; numerous beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews; a special friend, Kim Spratley and special nephew, Allen Santoyo. Also surviving is her very special and inseparable canine companion, "Tiny Girl". Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Tuesday, August 2, beginning at 12 noon until the time of the funeral at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will follow at Genevieve Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
