Bonnie Douglas Miner

HERCULANEUM- Bonnie Douglas Miner of Herculaneum, formerly of Farmington, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Scenic Nursing & Rehab Center in Herculaneum at the age of 90 years. She was born on September 6, 1926 at Avon, daughter of the late John Osban and Genevieve Douglas (Boyd) Adams. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon James Miner, a sister Lena Bloom, and brothers, Glen Adams, Paul Adams, and John Adams, Jr.

Bonnie grew up through the Depression Era and loved to tell tales of growing up in the hills, riding horses, and tormenting her brothers. She was a proud homemaker who loved gardening, bird watching, sewing, and making ceramics. She loved to dance and play her drums at Music Makers. She could recite her geneology and knew who her first, second, third and even more distant cousins were back through several generations.

Bonnie is survived by three children, Jim (& Pam) Miner, Donna (& Jerry) Gibbar, and Dennis (& Patty) Miner, three brothers, Bob (& Beverly) Adams, Thomas "Jett" (& Enna) Adams and Pat (& Carol) Adams; grandchildren, Steven (& Renee) Banes, Tamera (& Jim) Noland, Angela (& David McDaniel) Miner, and great-grandchildren, Ashley Noland, Eric Noland, and Alexander Banes, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and neighbors.

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in the Cozean Chapel with the Reverend Dewayne Petty officating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington.
