Bonnie Lou Crites of Farmington passed away on July 24, 2006 at Barnes Jewish Hospital at the age of 79 years. She was born on September 9, 1927 in Flat River, the daughter of the late Loya and Edith (McClanahan) Mabery. She was preceded in death by her first husband Roy Smith, who died in 1955 and her second husband Joseph "Willard" Crites, who died in 1966. Mrs. Crites was a member of the Church of Christ in Park Hills, she worked at Trimfoot Shoe Company for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all her family. She is survived by two sons, David Smith and wife Jacqueline of Bourbon, MO; Joseph W. Crites and wife Michele of Davie, FL; a daughter Rhea Murphy of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, a brother Richard Mabery and a sister Betty Miller both of Farmington; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 Wednesday July 26, 2006. A funeral service will be held at the Cozean Memorial Chapel Thursday July 27, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Bernie Crum officiating. Burial will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park. Memorials may be given to the Leukemia Society of America.
