FARMINGTON Bill Shaw Sutherland, of Farmington, passed away on January 22, 2024, at Cedarhurst Care Center at the age of 88. He was born on February 6, 1935, in Ironton, Missouri, to the late Floyd and Lillian (Caler) Sutherland-Hunt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Will Rogers and a half brother, John Hunt. He leaves behind a loving family of two children, Kim Rogers and Eric (AnnMarie) Sutherland, two granddaughters, Amy (Nick) Gibson and Marissa (Reed) Jensen, three grandsons, Phil Rogers, Zachary (Jaimee) Sutherland, and Trevor Sutherland, three great grandchildren, Elee Gibson, Ty Sutherland and Emma Sutherland, and two special half siblings, David Hunt and Fran (Bob) Wulfers. With the help and encouragement of a caring stepfather, Bill Hunt, Bill pursued a career in bricklaying. His first job was working on the Memorial United Methodist Church in Farmington. He continued in the bricklaying trade his entire working life. He enjoyed fishing and camping. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
