Billy Douglas

Billy Murel Douglas of Farmington passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010, at his residence, at the age of 76 years. He was born on December 1, 1934, at Lexington, TN, the son of the late Jack and Clara (Brasher) Douglas. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Douglas and a brother, Gene Douglas. Billy had been a resident of the Farmington area for 32 years and worked in the construction field. After his retirement he enjoyed hunting and participating in shooting matches. He was happiest when spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jo (Shook) Douglas; a daughter, Glenda (Mrs. Jade) Anderson of the State of Montana and a son, Billy Douglas, Jr. and his wife Andrea of Farmington; four grandchildren, Lacy Howell, Christina Brackett, Lorin Douglas and Josh Restivo; three great-grandchildren, Aalyia Howard, Brianna Hendrix and Derek Rector. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2010. Visitation will resume Thursday at 7 a.m. with a funeral service at 10 a.m. at the Cozean Chapel with Brother George Shook officiating. Interment will follow at Pendleton Baptist Church Cemetery in Doe Run. Memorials may be made to the Family c/o Cozean Memorial Chapel.
