Bill Floyd

Billy Wayne Floyd of Farmington passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at his residence at the age of 82 years. He was born on October 3, 1926, in Wilderado, TX, the son of the late Willy and Ella (McDade) Floyd. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl McCarter, a brother, Harvey Floyd and a sister, Millie Perdue. Mr. Floyd was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Farmington. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy in World War II and the Korean War, and the Vietnam Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis A. (Will) Floyd, a daughter, Beverly Elliott of Minneapolis, MN, three brothers, H. E. Floyd, Frank Floyd and James Floyd, and two sisters, Louise Jones and Betty Gugedon. A memorial service will be Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Farmington. A graveside service with Military Honors will beon Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Farmington. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cozean Memorial Chapel.
