Beverly Labreyere

FARMINGTON - Beverly (Burgess) LaBreyere of Farmington passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 15, 2015 at the age of 75. She was born October 25, 1939 in Roseville, Michigan to the late Frank Joseph and Leanna (Barnes) Burgess. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John H. LaBreyere in 1998; a sister, Joann Burgess and a brother, Joey Burgess. Beverly was a 1957 graduate of Farmington High School and shortly thereafter married her high school sweetheart, John. They raised their family together in Bonne Terre. She worked as a bookkeeper and was well respected for her dedication and skill. Just prior to her retirement she was instrumental in assisting her brother, Joey and his business partner in the development of the Maple Valley business district. A lifelong Christian, Beverly was a woman of strong faith who demonstrated her love for Christ through many loving words and deeds. She enjoyed countless hours reading, annual road trips with her sisters and spending time with her family. In life, and up to the moment of her passing, she was a woman of grace, courage and kindness. Survivors include her three children, Jonna LaBreyere, Brad (Kim) LaBreyere and Jenni (Dave) Schoenbeck, all of Farmington; five grandchildren, Emilie, Robby, Ethan, Sydney and Parker; four sisters, Shirley Wilkson, Joyce Crossett, Sharon Garrett, Linda Underwood and sister-in-law (like a sister) Janis Burgess; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Friends and family may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 12 noon until 3 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 3 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Rev. Roger Hogan officiating. Private interment will be held Monday at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Serenity Hospice Care.
