Beulah Alice Elser, formerly of Farmington, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, in Monroe, MI, at the age of 91 years. She was born on May 26, 1918, at Doe Run, the daughter of the late Eugene and Ida (Baker) Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Elser, two brothers, Lawrence and Chester William, and three sisters, Mae Burkett, Hazel Chamberlain and Helen Thomas. Mrs. Elser retired from United Airlines in Detroit, MI, where she was the Culinary Supervisor. She had been a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Farmington. She is survived by a son, Charles Elser of Farmington, three daughters, Vivian Maharas (Robert) of New Boston, MI, Frances Elser of Carleton, MI, and Donna Elser-Morris (Dennis) of Clinton, MI, a sister, LaVerne Forsythe of Farmington, two brothers, Melvin Williams of Festus, and Carl Williams of the State of California, seven grandchildren, Christa Chapman (Dan), Andrew, Ryan and Elizabeth Policht, Michael Maharas, Lisa Brickley (Brian), Nina Laginess (Robert), and two great-grandchildren, Derek Brickley and Lucas Laginess. The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, 2010. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Hogan officiating. Burial will be at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to the First Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, IETF (International Essential Tremor Foundation), or the Macular Degeneration Research Foundation.
