Betty Miller

Farmington - Betty Miller passed away June 3, 2015 at her home at the age of 83. She was born in Flat River on April 29, 1932 to the late Loya and Edith (McClanahan) Mabery. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Crites. Betty worked for forty years at a local optometrist office. In her spare time she enjoyed reading Amish books, traveling, crocheting, volunteering and her latest venture - Facebook. Betty loved her Savior and was a faithful member of Flat River Church of Christ. She enjoyed attending Monday Morning Ladies Bible Class and spent many hours playing Hand and Foot with close friends. Her greatest joy in this life was her family. She was an active and supportive Grandmother, spending time at various sporting events and dance recitals. She created beautiful quilts for each grandchild to cherish. She was generous with her time and love for each one. Mom and Grammy will be forever missed. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, A. J. Miller; two daughters, Sarah (Eric) Bertram and Jane (Tom) Robke, all of Farmington; five grandchildren, Emilie (Charlie) Uptegrove, Sam Thompson, Cate Robke, Ella Bertram and Kala Bertram, all of Farmington; two great-grandchildren, Will and Leah Uptegrove; her brother, Richard (Glenda) Mabery of Farmington; her dear nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, as well as many close friends and church family. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 5 from 5 - 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Bernie Crum officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
