Betty Miller

Betty J. Miller of Farmington passed away on June 30, 2011 at Presbyterian Manor at the age of 84 years. She was born June 30, 1927 in St. Louis to the late Cecil Lawrence and Grace (Hancock) Mason. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jack Miller and her daughter, Sandra Fantini. Betty grew up in St. Louis where she graduated from high school in 1944. She met and married Jack Miller in 1946. They made their home in St. Ann where they raised their three daughters. Betty worked for twenty years as the office manager of Aselage, Keiffer & Co, CPAs in St. Louis. After her retirement in 1983 she and Jack moved to Bismarck where they enjoyed the country life. She will be remembered mostly for the wonderful pies she baked for her family and friends. She was an excellent homemaker, a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of Bettys favorite pastimes was feeding and watching the birds in her yard. Survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline (Mrs. Jay) Mueller of Dallas, TX and Gwendolyn Miller-Ha of St. Louis; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 2 from 9 to 10 a.m. with services following at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Memorial Chapel with Reverend Pete Soens officiating.
