Betty Lou Barwick Roach

Betty Lou Barwick Roach of Farmington passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at the age of 69. She was born on October 15, 1943, the daughter of the late Joseph W. Crites and Goldie Theoka (Tucker) Ferguson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Crites and her late husband, David Frederick Roach. Betty graduated from Fredericktown High School in 1961. She went on to work as a receptionist for Medical Arts Clinic in Farmington for seventeen years. While there she made many lasting friendships with co-workers. For the past seventeen years she enjoyed living at Goose Creek where she spent many hours enjoying lake life with her family and the friends she made there. Survivors include her companion and father of her daughters, Jim Barwick; daughters, Cheryl Barwick Johnson and husband, Kevin, Colinda Barwick Bridgeman and Kim Barwick; seven grandchildren, Sara Ann Dixon, James Ellis Dixon, Kaci Johnson, Tristan Johnson, Justin Lee Bridgeman, Jacob Oliver Bridgeman and Kyler Wayne Gibson; two half brothers, Carl Ferguson, Jr. and Joe Crites; a step-brother, David Smith; one step sister, Rhea Smith; numerous nephews, nieces and extended family.
