Bettie V. Will, of Farmington passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Presbyterian Manor at the age of 82. She was born on March 28, 1929 to the late Archie B. and Ida B. (Davis) Smith in Bollinger County, Missouri. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Anton Will, Jr. in 2001. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Madgie Smith and Jovona Matthews and two brothers, Delbert and Dallas Smith. Bettie grew up in the Union Light area where she attended school. She and Anton made their home in the Farmington area where they raised their seven children. There was never a dull moment in the Will household but Bettie had the patience of Job. After most of the kids were in school, she worked as a nurses aide at the hospital. She was a pro at feeding a lot of kids so she later put her experience to work by working in the cafeteria at Washington-Franklin School where she very much enjoyed the children. Bettie also loved to garden. With her big family she needed a big vegetable garden and she always shared with friends. Survivors include her seven children, Donald Will and wife, Carol, Jerry Will and wife, Fritzie, Rick Will and wife, Diane, Paul Will and Wife, Carla, Judy Stewart and husband, Jerry, Joyce Petty and husband, Kenny and Cindy Johnson and husband, Gary; fourteen grandchildren, Denise Vandiver, Michael Will, Patricia Weddle, Jerry Will, Jr., Douglas Stewart, Melanie Houser, Jennifer Newbury, Christopher Ely, Sarah Wiggs, Kate Will, Melissa Hauf, Gregory Will, Mandy Howard and Jamie Johnson; twenty-one great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends.
