Bertha Weiman

March 23, 1925 — December 18, 2014

Bertha Aleane Weiman of Farmington, passed away, Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Red Bud Regional Hospital in Red Bud, IL at the age of 89 years. She was born March 23, 1925 at Farmington, daughter of the late Phillip Lee and Mary Jane (Coffel) Dickey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Albert W. Weiman, four sisters, Helen Dickey, Hester Clubb, Lillian White, and Leila Doss, and four brothers, Ed Dickey, John Dickey, Bob Dickey, and Richard Dickey. Bertha was a faithful member of the Farmington First Christian Church. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and traveling, particularly her trips with Albert in their RV all across the country. For a time Bertha and Albert retired to Louisiana and Texas, but soon returned to Farmington to be closer to family. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her including her daughter Jan Scott of Millstadt, IL, a son Gary "Michael" Weiman of Walnut Creek, CA, two grandchildren, Scott (& Heather) Ennor of Lebanon, IL and Tammy Ennor of Millstadt, IL, 8 great-grandchildren, three sister-in-laws, Rubie Dickey of Farmington, Wilma Dickey of Farmington and Lois Dickey of Farmington as well as numerous other relatives, dear friends and neighbors. Friends may call on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 5-8 pm at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Visitation will resume Monday after 7 a.m and continue until the time of the service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with the Reverend Larry Colvin officiating. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
