Bertha Marie Crites O'Dell

Bertha Marie Bee Crites ODell passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011, at the age of 89 years. She was born on September 30, 1921, at Farmington, daughter of the late Joseph Levi and Bertha (Propst) McGraw. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Crites in 1980 and her second husband, Leroy ODell in 1986, an infant daughter, Maxine Crites and eleven brothers and sisters. Bee loved to go fishing and camping. She also enjoyed cooking for friends and family. A favorite pastime for her was attending family gatherings which she always looked forward to. Since 1964 Bee had been a faithful member of the Farmington Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses. Survivors include her son, Ron Crites and wife Tressa, daughter, Mary Ann (Mrs. Bob) Pate all of Farmington, daughter, Helen Marie (Mrs. Lee) Underwood of Fredericktown; eight grandchildren, Dennis Underwood, Terry Underwood, Lisa Underwood, Diana May, Robin Sohn, Darrin Crites, Tina Savage and Nicholas Crites; eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2011. Visitation will resume Monday from 7 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Brother David Hull presiding. Interment will be at Hopewell Cemetery in Sedgewickville.
