Bernice A. Day

Bernice A. Day, of Farmington passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013, at the age of 77. She was born on December 24, 1935, at Creve Coeur, MO, daughter of the late John Hiatt Sr.and Madeline L. (Stockamp) Hiatt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, John Hiatt, Jr. and her loving companion, James Braddy. A resident of the Farmington area for more than 50 years, Bernice worked in the nursing home industry for more than 30 years. Her family and friends will always remember her generous nature and her willingness to always give of herself. Survivors include, three children, her grandchildren, six brothers and sisters and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, October 1 from 9 to 10 a.m. Services will follow at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will be at Pendelton Cemetery in Doe Run.
