Benjamin Charles Steinbruegge of Farmington passed away on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Kindred Hospital in St. Louis, at the age of 84 years. He was born on September 20, 1924, son of the late William and Katy (Ueltzen) Steinbruegge. Mr. Steinbruegge was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church. He proudly served his country in World War II in the U. S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post 416 of Farmington. Before retirement, he worked for Williams Patent Crusher out of St. Louis. He is survived by his wife, Martha J. (Goodman) Steinbruegge, three daughters, Marty and husband Lt. Col. Joe Rasmus of the State of North Carolina, Beth and husband Lt. Col. James Hall of the State of Kansas and Kathy Steinbruegge of the State of Ohio, a brother, Arthur Steinbruegge and a grandson, Joey Rasmus. Numerous other friends and relatives also survive. The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2009. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with Dr. Rick Broadway officiating. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
