Barbara Straughan

FARMINGTON - Barbara Margaret Mary Straughan, 70, of Farmington, MO passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2022, at St. Lukes Hospital surrounded by family. She was born on January 31, 1951, to Elliot Eugene McDaniel and Odessa Christine Rottler. Barb was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She is survived by her husband Ron of 47 years, son Tim McDaniel (spouse Nikki), daughter Kellie Ann Flynn (spouse Gary), son Nick Straughan (spouse Susie), and granddaughters Mikayla Marie, Megan Elizabeth, and Laci Marie. Along with her immediate family, Barb is also survived by sisters Helen McDaniel, Rita Wiegenstein, and brother Mike McDaniel, and many extended family members. Barbara was an avid gardener and crafter. She loved playing games, traveling, and cooking for everyone. She worked in food service, floral businesses, and most recently insurance sales. Barb will be most missed for her home-cooked chicken and dumplings and her love of her animals. She was the backbone of the family and will be deeply missed.
