Barbara Jean Rose

FARMINGTON – Barbara Jean Rose, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on December 28, 2024, at her home at the age of 87. She was born on July 26, 1937, in East St. Louis Illinois, to the late Luda N. Holmes.

In addition to her mother, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Morrie Maltzman and her grandson, Riley Rose.

Barbara is survived by her children, Robert (Paula) Rose of St. Charles, Linda Rose – Workman of Farmington, Michael Rose of Farmington and Karen Rose of Farmington, her grandchildren, Tabitha Rose, Michael (Kailyn) Reiger, David Birchmeier, Paul (Alyssa) Anderson, Heather Wallace, Hannah Rose, Dustin Church, Matthew Church, Brandon Rose – King, and Tristan Rose – King along with many great grandchildren and friends.

Barbara enjoyed decorating, frequenting antique malls and thrift stores, crocheting, needlepoint, and gardening. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Farmington.
